Tuesday, 19th Oct at pm - pm Staffing Committee. Councillors Our Town Councillors hold regular Surgeries for the residents in their wards. Birch Hill. My grandson Leo 7loves the park and the lakes. Hedgehog Park is his favourite play area and I have encouraged and supported the continued improvements. I have worked to improve car parking at South Hill Park for main events. I secured funding for s directing cars to the parking at Leppington.
I also worked with South Hill Park to get the markings on the car park repainted.
I was delighted to organise the art and poetry competitions to commemorate the centenary of the end of WW1. All the schools had a recording given to them. The art exhibition at SHP had 84 entries which were outstanding and a delight to view and I was thrilled that the overall winner for the Junior schools was from The Pines.
I pledge to work hard to keep Birch Hill a great place to live, work and play. Originally I was born in Hayes in West London. I moved to Birch Hill 4 years ago with my family. Bracknell is a great place for all our children. I use the local facilities such as the parks, Birch Hill recreation ground with my wife and two boys aged 4 and 6. When time allows we go to South Hill Park. As an occasional performer I feel very lucky to have such a prestigious art centre with a vibrant music record so close to where we live.
ly a legal executive for the Crown Prosecution Service, my current day job is in London in public relations. I have been interested in local government for over 30 years and I have a degree in Politics and Modern History. I hope you will support me in my aim to work with, and for the residents of Birch Hill on Bracknell Town Council, and to help look after all those things that make Bracknell a great place to live for all of us.
It has a host of treasured public spaces that make it a brilliant place to live in, an observation I can vouch for since becoming a Bullbrook resident in However, its continued security and safety requires an active layer of local government. The position of Town Councillor is vital to maintaining this position and I will be able to continue to fully support this process. In my life in the Police, initially as Priestwood beat constable then latterly as a senior officer I was accustomed to working alongside residents and have experience of partnership working.
A widower and proud Dad of two, my daughter is an events executive in Australia and my son is a Barrister, my work life balance, as Managing Director of a leading risk consultancy, will allow me to invest the appropriate time to fulfil the role. I remain loyal to my roots as an avid Notts County fan. I have supported our Mayors and colleagues at various events like the World War I event in Bracknell in and I contribute to debates in the council chamber for ongoing Bracknell concerns.
I look forward to engaging with young people to make them aware of how they can play an active role in their communities. I have a long-standing interest in government at the local and national. I am keen to see the Town Council continue to keep up its high standards of work in these areas and consider it a privilege to be a member of Bracknell Town Council, serving the local community.
After leaving university where I studied Engineering, I moved to the south east and started my career in computing. I am married with two children, both of whom are schooled locally. I live and work in Bullbrook and enjoy socialising in our new vibrant town centre. I would list my strengths as a good listener, I have lots of energy and I love a new task. I believe I have a wealth of experience to give to the Town Council. I feel I have a great insight into the problems and difficulties encountered in the day to day lives of the people of Bullbrook and I feel part of the wider Bracknell community, with connections in many groups within the area.
I believe I have the background and experience to be your Town Councillor and will do all I can to improve upon the great work our Town council already does. Their children attend local schools and colleges. He works locally as director of international marketing for a software company. He is executive member for economic regeneration on Bracknell Forest Council.
In this role, he oversees The Lexicon. Marc enjoys representing local people. He thinks that Crown Wood is a great place to live, and wants to keep it that way! My two youngest children are pupils at Crown Wood Primary School, so as a family we spend a lot of our time in the local parks and green spaces.
We are so lucky to live in one of the most beautiful areas in the country and I am committed to ensuring this continues for future generations, working with residents to improve on this wherever possible. Having a pair of dogs has also helped myself and my wife meet a lot of people while exercising them.
I am pleased that the Town Council introduced Environment Wardens. The wardens keep control of litter and dogs among other functions. Our green spaces can do much to keep us all healthy. I have lived in Bracknell for over 40 years. Amongst other interests I am a regular supporter of Bracknell Rugby Club.
It was good to see how much effort went into the competition. I have served on different committees of the Town Council and I am presently the Chairman of Planning. I work for myself, providing individuals with computer support. On leaving the family home I set up house in Crown Wood, later moving to Easthampstead and finally to Garth where I have resided for the last 20 years. I took the decision a couple of years ago to retire and care for a family member. My immediate family live close by; my mother, daughter and grandson in Bullbrook, my brother in Garth.
I have three rescue dogs which I walk at the many fabulous green spaces we have in the area. During my spare time I enjoy gardening, various sessions at the Bracknell Leisure Centre, and trips to the Wilde Theatre. I am keen to ensure that Bracknell continues to be one of the best places to live; this includes the continuation of high standards across our green spaces, play areas and community centres for all to utilise and enjoy.
I am proud of our superb play areas and well maintained recreation grounds. I am also proud of the fact that we still employ our own workforce - who take pride in maintaining the highest standards. I will continue to ensure everything the council does is of the highest standard and for the benefit of all.
During this time, my family and I have enjoyed the safety, warmth, friendliness, facilities and beautiful green spaces our community has to offer. I plan to apply this drive and determination to my role as your Councillor, to ensure that Bracknell Town continues to be a great place to live, work and play. Lizzy Gibson Great Hollands South Conservative M: View profile of Lizzy Gibson Lizzy Gibson As the mother of two young children I am committed to ensuring that Bracknell remains a great place to live and that they, their friends and the rest of the community can continue to enjoy the wealth of wonderful green spaces and other facilities Bracknell has to offer us all.
These spaces are so important, not just for our young people to let off steam, but for all generations to get out and meet together building a stronger community where we can support each other. I can often be found, after school, at the Home Farm, or Holland Pines play areas, and would love to hear about what you value about living in Great Hollands South and Bracknell town generally, as well as any issues and concerns you may have about our local area. I have been a proud resident of Bracknell since Hanworth has a strong neighbourhood feel which has been lost in other places I have lived but it remains strong in Hanworth.
I am a working mother of two beautiful children and when the call for help came in from the PTA at The Pines inI took that on as a means of helping the community and return some of the love and support provided to me when I was new to the area.
As a result of this very positive group I now find myself surrounded by a large and vibrant community, including my neighbours, the children, parents and teachers at the school. I have recently become a governor at The Pines School, providing as many of my skills and experience as possible for the children and staff.Love in bracknell
